R Value At It's Warmest
[more]

Thermal resistance which is measured in terms of R value (RSI value) is the resistance to heat flow through a material. The higher the R value, the better the resistance to heat loss. R-value does not take into account additional heat losses due to air infiltration, convection or air leakage.

Weathershield, offers greater overall performance value than other fibrous insulations. The higher density and perfect fit of Weathershield dramatically reduces air leakage and air convection is substantially better than glass fibre batt or other loose-fill materials having a similar R-Value.

In addition, Weathershield's high R-Value remains more constant than mineral fibre throughout a wide range of ambient temperatures, which makes it a superior insulation for reducing summer heat gain and winter heat loss.

Thermal resistance and noise absorption properties are also permanent features of this material and does not change with the passage of time.
